For Little Leagues & Rec Leagues

Built for the volunteers who hold youth baseball together.

A free game-day lineup tool, available to every coach in your league. No accounts for the league to manage. No data risk. No catch.

Made by a Little League coach. Used by parents and coaches at chartered leagues.

What it means for your league

We lead with your interests, not our product. Here's what changes for the league when your coaches start using Lineup Card.

Free for every coach. Forever.

Every coach in your league gets unlimited access at no cost. No subscription pitch, no upsell to parents.

Zero integration work.

You add one link to your Coaches Resources page. That's it. No accounts to provision, no rosters to sync, no IT effort.

Zero data risk.

Coaches can use Lineup Card with first-name-only rosters. No player PII is required. COPPA-considerate by design.

What your coaches actually get

Four things they'll notice from the very first game.

Fair playing time, every game.

Auto-assigns defensive positions and tracks who's played where, so no kid sits the bench more than their teammates. Parents stop sending those emails.

Lineups in 2 minutes.

Faster than the Notes app, smarter than a spreadsheet. Built for volunteers, not analysts.

Little League rules, baked in.

Continuous batting order, mandatory play (6 defensive outs + 1 at-bat per player), pitch-count-aware. Your coaches won't break a rule they didn't know existed.

Print or share to the dugout.

Clean lineup cards printable on standard paper, or shareable via link to assistant coaches.

We speak Little League.

Most lineup tools are built for travel-ball dads with a stats obsession. Lineup Card was built for volunteers running a Saturday Minors game who just need a fair lineup and a printed card for the dugout fence.

  • Continuous batting order with auto-rotated defensive positions
  • Mandatory play tracker — never accidentally bench a kid for the season
  • Pitch count visibility for pitcher eligibility
  • Print formats sized for the dugout, not a desk
  • Schedule import from GameChanger (the scorebook your league already uses)
Coach's note

"I used to spend the night before every game pushing names around the Notes app, trying to be fair. Now I open Lineup Card on my phone in the dugout and I'm done in two minutes — and every kid plays everywhere across the season."

Built by a coach in your shoes.

I'm Dan. I coach AA at Northwood Little League in Irvine, CA. I built Lineup Card after one too many Friday nights spent in the Notes app at 10pm, balancing positions across innings to make sure no kid played outfield all season.

The goal was simple: a tool that does the math so volunteer coaches can focus on coaching. Lineup Card stays free for any league that adds it to their Coaches Resources page — that's a commitment, not a marketing line.

Safe for coaches. Safe for kids.

  • No player PII required. First-name-only rosters work fine.
  • No advertising. No data sold. Ever.
  • Coach accounts are optional — coaches can use Lineup Card without signing up.

Questions boards always ask

Plain answers, no legalese. If your board has a question that isn't here, email us — we'll answer it for everyone.

Is it really free for every coach in our league?

Yes. Every coach in a chartered Little League or rec league that links to Lineup Card gets full access to the core lineup builder at no cost — no trial, no per-team fee, no "premium" lockouts on the basics. That's the whole offer.

What data do you collect on players?

As little as the coach decides to enter. Lineup Card works with first-name-only rosters; there's no required field for last name, birthdate, or any other identifier. We don't collect parent contact info, addresses, or anything tied to a child. The full details are in our privacy policy.

Do you support continuous batting order and mandatory play?

Yes. Continuous batting order is the default. Defensive positions auto-rotate across innings so playing time is balanced across the season, and mandatory play tracking flags any player who hasn't met the minimum yet so the coach can see it before the lineup is locked.

Will you market other products to our parents?

No. We do not contact league parents directly, and we don't sell or share contact information.

To be specific about what's on offer: we do make a companion iOS app called Lineup DJ — it handles batter walkout music and announcer intros. An individual coach who wants those features can choose to subscribe to Lineup DJ from the App Store, the same way they'd subscribe to anything else. That's a personal decision a coach can make for themselves. Lineup Card itself stays free for every coach in your league.

What if a coach also wants the paid features?

The lineup builder your league cares about — auto-rotation, fair playing time, printable cards, Little League rule support — is free. There are some advanced features (multiple teams, strategy tuning, season history, link sharing) that an individual coach can subscribe to if they want, billed to that coach personally for a couple of dollars a month. The league has no role in that, and it never bills back to the league.

Who built this and why?

Lineup Card is built by Dan Machado, a Little League coach in Southern California, under his independent studio Turn Two Labs. The "why" is in the founder section above: he got tired of doing position math in his Notes app the night before every game, so he built a tool that does it instead. The league-friendly pricing is intentional — leagues that link to Lineup Card make it sustainable, and in return their coaches get the tool free.
